Starting a blog changed my life.
No, really: it did.
Before blogging (BB), I was a stressed-out office worker who used to cry in the shower every morning at the thought of having to go to work. Now, by contrast, I sometimes end up completely skipping the shower, because I love what I do so much that I can't always wait to get started.
(Er, I don't recommend that, by the way: go have your shower. It's OK, I'll wait...)
For over a decade now, I've been earning a full-time living from blogging. Imagine if I'd never even started, though? How different - and how much worse - my life would be!
I know starting a blog can be a life-changing decision. The problem is that most people just never get started - even if they really want to: either they're too scared of getting it wrong, too overwhelmed by all of the information out there, or just plain confused, because they don't know what to start.
Well, here's the thing: I don't want you to be that person who never gets started. No, I want you to be the one who starts a blog that has to the potential to change your life: and, over the next 7 days, I'm going to show you how to do it.
This course is a step-by-step guide to setting up a blog that you can turn into a business (or even just a really great hobby, if that's what you're looking for). I'll hold your hand and walk you through each part of the process so that, at the end of it, you'll be able to sit back, look at your brand new blog, and know you've started something something amazing.
All you have to give me in return, meanwhile, is 7 days of your time.
Do we have a deal?
(Oh, and I'll let you into a secret: it doesn't have to take you 7 days, either. Feel free to work through the course as quickly - or slowly - as you like: it's entirely up to you...)
Some of the most important work in setting up your new blog happens before you even start. This module will help you lay the groundwork that will allow you to build a blog that's primed for success, right from the word GO.
So let's go...
Creating the main categories readers will use to navigate your blog, plus setting up Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools.
Congratulations: you've done all of the work in setting up your site - now it's time to start creating some content, starting with the very first - and most important - page on your blog.
It's the moment you've been waiting for: time to start creating some content for your new blog!
